In view of upcoming IPL-2025 day/night cricket matches scheduled on 02/05/2025 & 14/05/2025 at Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium, GMRC has decided to extend the timings of metro train services in Ahmedabad from 6:20 Hrs to 00:30 Hrs midnight on the said dates.
Existing timings of metro services in Ahmedabad is from 06:20 Hrs to 22:00 Hrs, during the extended hours from 22.00 hrs to 00.30 hrs, passengers can travel only from Motera Stadium Metro Station and Sabarmati Metro station to any operational stations on both corridors of Ahmedabad (Motera Stadium to APMC and Vastral Gam to Thaltej Gam).
For Gandhinagar, two additional train services will be provided from Motera Stadium to Sector-1 at 23.40 hrs and 00.10 hrs.
In addition, to facilitate and provide hassle-free travelling to passengers, GMRC has introduced a special paper ticket to be used for return journey purpose on the day of IPL matches. Salient Features pertaining to Special Paper Tickets are listed below

નરેન્દ્ર મોદી ક્રિકેટ સ્ટેડિયમ ખાતે તા. ૦૨/૦૫/૨૦૨૫ અને ૧૪/૦૫/૨૦૨૫ ના રોજ યોજાનારી આગામી IPL-૨૦૨૫ ની ડે-નાઈટ ક્રિકેટ મેચોને ધ્યાનમાં રાખીને, GMRCએ અમદાવાદમાં મેટ્રો ટ્રેન સેવાઓને સવારના ૬:૨૦ વાગ્યાથી મધ્યરાત્રિના ૧૨:૩૦ વાગ્યા સુધી લંબાવવાનો નિર્ણય કર્યો છે.
અમદાવાદમાં મેટ્રો ટ્રેન સેવાઓની હાલની સમયમર્યાદા સવારે ૬:૨૦ વાગ્યાથી રાત્રે ૧૦ વાગ્યા સુધી છે. રાત્રિના ૧૦ વાગ્યાથી મધ્યરાત્રિના ૧૨:૩૦ વાગ્યા સુધીના લંબાયેલ સમય દરમ્યાન માત્ર મોટેરા સ્ટેડિયમ મેટ્રો સ્ટેશન અને સાબરમતી મેટ્રો સ્ટેશન પરથી મેટ્રોમાં બેસી શકાશે અને ત્યાંથી અમદાવાદ મેટ્રોની બંને કોરિડોર (મોટેરાથી એપીએમસી અને થલતેજ ગામથી વસ્ત્રાલ ગામ) ના કોઈ પણ કાર્યરત મેટ્રો સ્ટેશન પર જઈ શકાશે.
ગાંધીનગર જવા માટે, મોટેરા સ્ટેડિયમથી સેક્ટર-1 સુધી રાત્રે ૧૧.૪૦ કલાકે અને મધ્યરાત્રિના ૧૨.૧૦ કલાકે બે વધારાની ટ્રેન સેવાઓ પૂરી પાડવામાં આવશે.
આ ઉપરાંત, જીએમઆરસીએ મેટ્રોના મુસાફરોને મુશ્કેલી ના પડે તે માટે ઉપર દર્શાવેલ IPL મેચોના દિવસોમાં મોટેરા સ્ટેડિયમથી રાત્રે પરત ફરવા, સ્પેશ્યલ પેપર ટિકિટ બહાર પાડેલ છે. સ્પેશિયલ પેપર ટિકિટની વિશેષતાઓ નીચે મુજબ છે.
