Multi Model Integration
Multi Model integration (MMI) refers to the seamless coordination and integration of different transportation modes at and around metro stations. This involves creating a system where passengers can easily transfer between metro, buses, trains, and other modes of transportation, including walking, cycling, and even personal vehicles.
Integration With Other Transportation Modes
Ahmedabad Metro Phase-I stations have been designed with a strong focus on passenger safety and accessibility. All stations are equipped with well-defined pedestrian pathways, staircases, lifts, escalators, and other essential commuter infrastructure to facilitate safe and comfortable movement for passengers within station premises and surrounding areas.
Select metro stations under Phase-I have been developed with multi-modal integration to enable seamless connectivity with other public transportation systems such as BRTS, GSRTC buses, Indian Railways, and High-Speed Rail. These stations are provided with dedicated pedestrian linkages including foot over bridges, skywalks, and organized access points, ensuring smooth transfers between different modes of transport and enhancing first- and last-mile connectivity for commuters
